Today we are going to learn how to root your T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S5 running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat using the CF-Root package developed by ChainfireXDA, Rooting your phone allows and gives you so many privileges, which are usually not possible without rooting and you should know the benefits of rooting your android phone. Today, We’re going to root the latest Samsung flagship, T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S5 model number SM-G900T, we’ll be using the CF-Root method, which is currently the only and safe method to gain root access.

Guidelines and Requirements:
- T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G9ooT with USB data cable.
- CF-Root zip package for T-Mobile Galaxy S5 (Download Link)
- You also need to install USB drivers on your PC. If Samsung Kies is installed, then there is no need install the drivers otherwise you can download USB driver HERE.
- Go to Phone Settings>Developers Options and Enable USB debugging.
- Make sure that you’ve got good enough battery charge on your phone before you start the rooting procedure.
How to Root T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S5 Using Odin
Step 1: First of all, extract the CF-Auto-Root-kltetmo-kltetmo-smg900t.zip file to a new folder on your desktop.
Step 2: Next Reboot your T-Mobile Galaxy S5 into Download Mode:
- Turn off your phone.
- Press and Hold down the Volume Down+Home+Power buttons at the same time till you see a warning on your screen.
- Further hit the Volume Up button to continue.
Step 3: While in download mode connect your GS5 to PC via the USB data cable. Just make sure that Odin3 detects your device.
Step 4: Also make sure that only Auto Reboot and F. Reset Times options are checked and rest leave the default Odin settings.
Step 5: Finally click the PDA button and from the extracted folder select the CF-Rooted kernelfile and hit the START to flash the kernel.
Step 6: Wait for Odin3, When completed, Odin will notify you via the PASS!! message in Odin and at this stage your phone will automatically reboots.
Step 7: Once normally booted, Check that SuperSU has been installed. To verify root access, Open Google Play Store app on your phone and install “Root Checker“. Once installed run to make sure your phone is rooted.
Troubleshooting: Sometimes the device does *not* boot into recovery mode and root your device. Just do the entire procedure again if this happens. If it still will not install root and such, make sure that in Odin “Auto Reboot” is not checked. Then after flashing, pull the battery, and boot with VolUp+Home+Power button to boot into recovery manually. This will start the install process.
Congratulations!! Your T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S5 has successfully been rooted running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat Firmware.
You can now enjoy full root access to your phone. You can also install apps which requires root access and at the same time you can get rid of the stock apps, if you really want use the Titanium Backup.
